My version after Winslow Homer’s “West Point Prouts Neck”, 1900. Oil on canvas. Seascape painted along the Maine coast near Homer’s studio, just after sunset. The original has a more smoky look to the waves. My version shows more detail to the crashing colorful water splashing into the rocks. One of my favorite artists, currently working on more of his paintings to learn from the master.
