After Alfred Sisley, Village On The Banks of the Seine, (Villeneuve-la Garenne), 1872, now in the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg. My version of the painting adds color to the land and keeps an open sky. In comparison, his painting has more foliage covering the sky at the top portion of the painting. Sisley was a famous Impressionist plein-air (outdoor) landscape painter.
“Every picture shows a spot with which the artist has fallen in love.” – Alfred Sisley
